Overcoming Strongholds

The RU program is designed to help those struggling with hurts, hang-ups, bad habits, and strongholds by showing people the loving power of God through a recovery process.
By attending RU meetings and applying the biblical principles that are shared weekly, you will grow spiritually and become free from hurts, hang-ups, bad habits, and strongholds. This freedom creates peace, serenity, joy, and most importantly, a stronger personal relationship with God and with others.
Discipling People Since 1996
RU is found worldwide, including in Sacramento
RU began as a Bible Study at North Love Baptist Church in Rockford, Illinois with just one student in April 1996. That person left after one week, and the next four weeks were spent teaching the spouses of the teachers. After those weeks, four new people began to attend.
These four attended for the next two years. Their addictions became the foundation that the ministry would build on food addiction, crack cocaine, alcohol, and pornography. Four different people, four crippling addictions, yet only one need: God! Over the course of this little Bible Study began to grow as the Truth began to make people free.
In 2000, this Friday night program, complete with curriculum, began to be implemented in other communities across the country. Today, thousands of chapters of RU have been planted across the globe!
RU Sacramento is the Sacramento area’s first chapter of RU. Meetings are held every Friday from 7:00 p.m. to 9:15 p.m. with fellowship time afterward.
We have a second class on Sunday mornings from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. All are welcome to attend. There is no cost to attend.

Free Personal Counseling
Are you tired of having to get advice from people who know little about your struggles? Are you tired of having to pay hourly fees to hear yourself talk? If so, try RU!
We offer free group and individual spiritual counseling on a wide variety of topics from addiction, to marriage, finances, family, and many other areas.
Weekly Fellowship Time
Are you tired of being alone absent of any good friends with whom you could fellowship? If so, try RU!
We have “Happy Hour” fellowship time at the conclusion of Friday meetings where refreshments and snacks are usually served.
